Tuesday’s are proving to be our low key day. We had 8 friends today in Preschool!
At circle time this morning we worked on the Calendar, the weather, our Abc’s focusing on the letter A this week. We read” A Day in the Apple Orchard.” We talked about our field trip to Thompson’s Apple Orchard tomorrow.
We moved our bodies to Head, Shoulder’s, Knees and Toes and Bean Bag Toss.
We spent time talking about the letter A , how the letter A sounds. We searched for letter A’s. We created an A with polka dots.
We also learned and discovered that our classroom has may jobs that need to be done. So we have a job chart. Each day your child will choose a job different than the day before. Our classroom jobs are :
The Chef: He/She helps prepare snacks and lunch
The Meteorologist: He/She posts the weather on our weather chart
The Florist: He/She has to water our plants
The Veterinarian: He/She feeds and cares for our animals
The Safety Officer: He/She makes sure chairs are pushed in, reminds us not to run, helps us keep everyone safe while having fun!
The Librarian: He/She helps choose the daily books, makes sure that the books are back on the book shelf neatly
The Teacher’s Assistant: nH Helps the teacher conduct circle time, uses a special pointer to point to the charts
The Conservationist: He/She helps conserve energy, resources and reminds our friends to do so as well.
Ask your child what job they chose today.
Today’s meals
AM snack: Cheese, pears and water
Lunch: Potato Salad, Bread, Banana’s, Carrots and Milk
Pm snack: Blueberry muffins and water
We played outside for 90 minutes in the morning and 120 minutes this afternoon
Please remember we have a field trip tomorrow to Thompson’s Apple Orchard. Please have your child wear sneakers or boots. Also plan on arriving at school prior to 9;15 so that we can have snack, go to the bathroom and get settled in the van. If you would like to make a donation to the field trip please feel free.
Have a great evening
