Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

What a fun Thursday! This morning we played with multi-colored obleck  that we made on Monday. Then the dance party began. We decided it was time for a snack and a break.

 

At circle this morning   we worked on the Weather Bear and decided his name will be “Salty”. Our Emotion board was filled with “Happy” children today.  We read The Cat in the Hat. We sung Happy Birthday to Dr.Seuss. We decided we should make cupcakes for an afternoon snack. So we made homemade cup cakes. We measured, used the mixer, read the receipe and create amazing cupcakes  with 5 different colored  frosting.  While we waited for our cupcakes to cool we bundled  up and went for a walk down to the pond. We were paying particular attention to all the changes in nature. When we arrived back to school we frosted and decorated our Dr.Seuss cupcakes. See our facebook page for pictures.  We created  Thing one and Thing 2 puppets out of sticks, paint and paper.

Am snack: Oatmeal, granola and water

Lunch: Cheesy peas and rice, oranges and milk

Pm snack: Apples and Dr. Seuss cupcakes
