Today we learned about the Bodhi Day or the Buddha’s Enlightenment. Bodhi Day is a day of remembrance and meditation. Often multi-colored lights are strung about the home to honor the day of enlightenment. A candle is also lit for thirty days to symbolize enlightenment. Some people have fiscus trees or Buddhist statue and place 3 Jewels near it , The Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha.
