Happy Monday!

Today we started our Unit on Community Helpers/Jobs.

We spoke about how everyone has some type of job that can help our community. Without everyone’s help our Community/Town would not run smoothly. Here are some of the jobs we came up with.

Teacher, doctor, nurse, fireman, garbageman, policeman, mom, dad, dentist, baker,mailman, truck driver, waitress, conductor… Oh and so many more.  We focused on the fireman/woman and policeman/woman because we are having a visit from the Freeport Fire Department on Wednesday at 10 am. If Wednesday is not your normal day here at Ready Set Go ! We welcome you to join us to met the firemen/women. Normally our lesson and fire truck discovery lasts 30 to 45 minutes.

Today at circle we worked on creating the October calendar, ABC’s, weather, our community classroom jobs. This week we are learning about the letter C. So we learned to sign children, cat, car.  We are working on our patterning today’s pattern was ghost, pumpkin, ghost, pumpkin this is also known as an AB pattern.  We are still working on  learning what our name looks like print.

We also read Moose Tracks, Dark Dark  and ABC’s of Jobs.

Am Snack: Cereal, grapes and water

Lunch: Blue Berry Waffles, Yogurt, Bananas, Corn and milk

Pm Snack: Cheese, Crackers and water
